The ‘Plant-Based’ Story
Why go plant-based?
The research is in and it’s clear – eating whole foods, derived from plants, is better for you, for animals and for our planet. Enjoying a plant-based diet of vegetables, fruits, grains and legumes is an easy way to lessen our environmental footprint and get a head start on that healthy lifestyle we’re always being told about.
Going plant-based is not only vegan friendly but can help
improve your gut-health and digestion
enhance your fitness
balance your hormones
lessen your disease risk
As a bonus, you get to help the planet…
By helping reduce demand for unfriendly farming practices which are a huge strain on our planet’s resources. Our increasing population means we simply can’t afford our meat and dairy based diets anymore. Moving to a plant-based diet reduces environmental impact, is a huge boost for animal welfare and encourages more sustainable agriculture.
Plant-based is not just a diet… it’s a lifestyle…
Take the MyLife BioCheese first step towards a healthier, sustainable future… for you and for our planet.

Here at MyLife, we support all initiatives and charities committed to making our planet a better place for us, the animals and the environment. Keep Australia Beautiful Week takes place once a year, and in 2021 it will run in late August. Established in 1968, Keep Australia Beautiful was Australia’s first sustainable and anti-litter campaigner. Since then, they have been working state based offices and local community groups to raise awareness on how we can all live more sustainably. Their mission is to grow a community of Australians committed to keeping our country beautiful!
We had a great response to our fact sheet on the Do’s and Dont’s of composting, so we thought we’d make up another guide about how long it takes for the average, non-compostable waste to fully break down. The results will shock you, but hopefully spark an urge to collectively clean up our act and leave the world a better place for future generations.
It’s world plant milk day on August 22nd. Did you know there was an entire day dedicated to non-dairy milk? And we’re so glad it’s here! Plant Milk Day was established by Plant Based News – everyone’s favourite plant-based publication – a couple of years ago as a partnership campaign with ProVeg. Since then, plant milk day has gained more and more momentum every year and is now joined by switch4good – an initiative encouraging people to live a healthier, dairy free lifestyle. As proud members of the dairy-free and plant-based community, we support this team working towards making positive change to our health, that of the planet, and our animals too.
We’re gearing up for another month of environmental awareness here at MyLife, and what better way to start August than with National Tree Day? It’s a chance to play a part in repopulating our country with plant life and raising awareness for nature protection.
